Children’s books that grow curious minds!
Brian the Brain Series
The brain book for kids.
A series to support kids mental health and learning through STEM stories
Sometimes “because it’s good for you” just doesn’t work. Kids will often choose sugary snacks or screen time over healthier options - especially when they don’t understand why those choices matter.
Brian the Brain: Head Space helps children understand their brain from the very beginning, making healthy habits feel meaningful instead of forced.
Join Brian on his daily adventures in this children’s brain book that introduces neuroscience, emotional awareness, and self-care in a fun, relatable way.
Inside Brian the Brain: Head Space, children will discover:
Bright, colorful illustrations that explain how the brain works in an engaging, age-appropriate way (ages 3+)
A personal growth story that inspires confidence, resilience, and self-awareness
Relatable reasons to eat healthy, stay active, and care for mental health
Gentle explanations that build empathy for sensory sensitivities, including experiences common for autistic children
Simple descriptions of brain function for children with ADHD
Children don’t come into the world knowing how to regulate emotions or protect their bodies, but they can learn. This scientifically accurate children’s book gives preschoolers through middle schoolers the tools to better understand their brains, emotions, and choices.
A must-have for parents, teachers, occupational therapists, and healthcare professionals, Brian the Brain: Head Space supports social-emotional learning (SEL), mindfulness, and healthy decision-making at home and in the classroom.
“This book is scientifically accurate and has the potential to help kids truly value their brain.”

My Baby is a Dinosaur has been such a great book for our whole family! Watching our 6 year old son learn to read, while the two younger children enjoy the characters and colourful watercolour pages is such a delight.
It also happens to be just the perfect size for little hands, and just the right amount of silliness.
10/10 recommend!
I hope Jenny makes more in this series!!

I am a teacher in a neurodivergent classroom, and needed a way to teach social emotional learning skills that appealed to the science lovers in my group.
I came across the Brian the Brain series and the books have been the perfect addition to our classroom. I often see the kids pick up the books and read them, or look through the colourful pictures.

As a Grade 1 teacher, I was eager to give my students the opportunity to meet a real author and engage with their learning in a creative way.
I reached out to Jenny Mouse, and asked if she could connect her work to my science unit. I was teaching a Senses unit and decided to connect the brain as an aspect of the senses. Jenny’s books were the perfect fit for this, and she graciously created a virtual workshop specifically about the brain for my class.
Her books helped the students connect to the lesson, and they loved having the chance to meet a real author!
She also provided a detailed lesson plan and learning materials that enhanced their understanding of the topic and sparked their interest in STEM learning about the brain.
